Data Deletion Policy
In the following policy, Fivestar refers to the service offered by Fivestar, Inc. (the “Company” or “We”) through the downloadable App. This Data Deletion Policy explains (i) what information we collect through your access and use of our Service (ii) the use we make of such information; and (iii) the security level we provide for protecting such information.
Data related to the opening of an account
Fivestar uses anonymous device-level authentication to open an account. As such, your private information is not required to download Fivestar or establish an account.
The Fivestar App does install a unique 16 digit Fivestar identification number on your device to help us manage your account. Your Fivestar ID number can be found through the Device Metadata menu by tapping the gear icon.
Your Fivestar ID is kept permanently to authenticate your device and account even if you delete or uninstall the app. The Fivestar ID is used to confirm that your device is authorized to access our services. If you purchase a new device, a new Fivestar ID may be issued that is unique to the new device.
Payment Information: The Company relies on the Amazon, Apple App Store, Google Playstore, Samsung Galaxy, Riot Games, and other app stores to process payments.
Native Applications: When you use our native applications, we may use mobile analytics software (such as Segments and crash reporting, Play Store app statistics, App Store app statistics, or self-hosted Sentry crash reporting) to send crash information to our developers so that we can fix bugs rapidly.
Any data that we do have will never be shared without your permission.
All servers used in connection with the provisioning of the Service are located in the United States and wholly owned and operated by Microsoft Corporation. Only employees of Fivestar, Inc. and Microsoft have physical or other access to the servers. Data is ALWAYS stored in encrypted format on our servers. Offline backups may be stored periodically, but these are also encrypted.
Right to Access, Rectification, Erasure, Portability, and right to lodge a complaint
The company does not centrally store or share your personal data, except that Fivestar uses a unique 16 digit Fivestar ID to authenticate your device.
If your account has been suspended for any reason or you wish to discontinue our service, you delete any data stored by the app on your device by simply uninstalling Fivestar.
If you feel that there has been a violation of your rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint to the competent supervisory authority.
When Fivestar is uninstalled from your device, data stored on your phone is immediately deleted. We do not store your information on our production servers. Fivestar ID numbers, however, are retained indefinitely on our servers.
